Lord Prawn was established over 32 years ago, in 1975, and was first located on Durban beachfront.

This seafood and grill restaurant proved to be very popular, so they relocated their restaurant to Umhlanga Rocks. Umhlanga Rocks has a beautiful stretch of landscape on the Dolphin Coast.

Over the years Lord Prawn has prided themselves in providing the freshest fish and shellfish at realistic prices. The consistency of their food and service has been noted by many of their regular customers, some of which have been patronising their food establishment from its early conception.

Most of the original staff that started working at Lord Prawn many years ago can still be found there proving an excellent service to their patrons. Lord Prawn is still under the same ownership of chef and patron Jonathan Chemaly.
